On Sunday August 1,the current ownership of the Thirsty Dawg will celebrate our first year in business.  To our customers, please accept our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation for your patronage.  We have made many new friends and reestablished contact with many old friends in our first year.  The results of our first year in business far exceeded our goals and expectations for the first year.  THANK YOU.  Without you our loyal and new customers, it would not have been possible. In our first year we put quite a bit of what we took in to make improvements to the DAWG.  In our first year, we added 3 new LCD televisions for your viewing pleasure. We added satellite radio service for your listening pleasure.  We bought a six pack cooler, that was missing from this establishment for a number of years,to better serve you. We also added a beer cooler and soda cooler in back of the bar.  We made sure that you were cool in the summer and warm in the winter when you came in to patronize our establishment.  We gave the bar area a much needed facelift with added lighting and a paint job.  We purchased NFL Sunday ticket, March Madness, and MLB extra innings to establish ourselves as Patton's premier sports bar.  We initiated a weekly pizza giveaway.  We also implemented daily food specials and expanded the food menu.  You have our promise that we will continue to strive to make improvements to our business in the future to serve you better. Once again thank you for a great first year and we look forward to serving you many years in the future.   

Well the suspense is over.  It is time to reveal the details concerning the TOSS UP TUESDAY promotion.  On Tuesday July 27, you have a chance to put on the Dawg so to speak, and eat your favorite Dawg menu item on us.  This is an EAT IN promotion ONLY, take outs are not included.  Drinks are not included also.  You and your family or friends come to the Dawg on July 27 and order anything off the menu.  After you are finished with the meal we tabulate the bill.  Then we will toss a coin to determine who pays for the food, you or the Dawg.  It's that simple no gimmicks; it is what it is.  Remember DRINKS are NOT included.  You may think we have lost our marbles and my two partners in this business thought that I did when I brought this up.  It is our way of potentially rewarding our current patrons and hopefully attract new people to the Dawg to try our food and check out everything we have to offer.  We will be celebrating our first year in business on August 1 and this is the way we are kicking it off.  We will be offering different specials during the Dawg Days of Summer, so we hope that you will join us.  Remember also to mark Friday August 20 on your calendar, as we celebrate "Chest Creek Cafe for a day" with many of your favorite "Creek"employees and sports team members in attendance.  We will also have Patton's Dean of DJ'S Wild Willie to play hits from the 60's and 70's on this totally retro night.  Once again we thank you our customers for making our first year in business a big success and we look forward to serving you many years ahead in the future!  

In response to several requests, we will be opening up on Monday nights starting in the near future.  Tentative operating hours will be 7:30-12:00   We plan on being open full service with food and bar services available, although pizza hours may be shorter than the bar hours.  Once again, the Dawg responds to our customers requests.  We will continue to seriously consider all your requests, although more than likely we will not be able to accomodate all of them.  Thanks for all of your suggestions and keep them coming.  

As part of our Dawg days of summer promotion, we will be introducing nightly drink specials and food specials.  There has been much curiosity concerning our TOSS UP TUESDAY promotion.  Here is one hint:  You are going to flip over TOSS UP TUESDAY.  Thirsty Thursday will be just that, some interesting happy hour and drink specials.  We will introducing each of these promotions soon, so keep in touch with us on Facebook and here on our web site for more details on our promotions.  As always, thank you to all our customers and patrons for your support.  If you haven't checked us out yet, come on in and we will give you plenty of reasons to come back.

We have been asked several times since we took over the Dawg to change it back to the Chest Creek Cafe.  For  one night this summer we will.  We are going to bring back some of your favorite and who knows maybe not so favorite former bartenders for a reunion bash.  We will have many former Chest Creek Cafe bartenders in attendance, and we will have some retro drink and food specials for this retro night.  We will also have a DJ playing 50's, 60's, and 70's music to fit the mood of the evening.  At this time we have already received committments from Brian Smoothy Noel, Bruce Strittmatter,Dan Bechel, Ron Jenkins, Pork McMurray,Jerry Petrunyak, and Carla (Hauret) Burkey. We are also asking former softball players to show up for this event.  A date has not been set as of yet, but we will soon be announcing it.  We think it will be a blast reminiscing and celebrating the past history of the Chest Creek Cafe.  We hope you can join us!
